Volunteer Update

As those of you who have done air shifts this week know, the DIGI is gone. Yup, gone, dead, caput! So we are beginning the transition to ENCO. Everyone is doing great with the new system and I want to thank all of you for being patient with it all. Stop by to find out about the changes if you haven't worked with it yet.

Congratulations to our own Wes Hannah on his recent wedding. All of us here, at KMXT wish Wes and Elizabeth the best. Unfortunately for us they will be leaving the island. Also leaving Josie Cooper, Laura Ranney have graduated from High School and are off to new adventures.

You have been hearing a couple familier voices on the air over the last week or so. James Brooks on leave from the service and Imy Dooley home from college for the summer have been filling in.

New volunteers on the air include Jeanette Blalock, Dan Raymond, Kelly Henderson and Andrew Brown.

As always there are shifts to be filled. I would love to hear from all of you to find out how your summer has been going and what shifts you want to sign up for now that fall is approaching.

The Rodeo and State Fair Booth has shifts available Noon to 2, 2 to 4 and 4 to 6 Saturday August 30th and Sunday August 31st. There is a sign up sheet is on the front counter at the station.

The third Saturday of September is the traditional date for the Kodiak Public Broadcasting Corporation Annual Meeting which will be September 20th this year. Held at the Second Floor this is our yearly event to inform members about the past year and on going projects for KMXT . New Board members are also elected to fill any vacating seats.

The weekend of October 4 is going to be a great one for KMXT!
